Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 18th century! Here I stand, Christoph Martin Wieland, in front of my beloved garden house.

Oh, how content I feel! A pleasant retreat, where I spend most of my leisure hours, surrounded by muses, fauns, and fairies. I see mills, villages, and the gentle hills of the countryside. A view that makes me forget any discomfort. Here I sit at my desk and rhyme, while thoughts flutter around like summer butterflies.

I was appointed as the Chancellor's secretary, here in my hometown, after eight years of absence, where disputes and lawsuits dominate the atmosphere.

But do not forget that science and "bonae litterae" – good literature – have been my sole occupation and pleasure since my tender youth.

Well, my friends, I must be on my way. The stage calls, and with my quill, I will illuminate the world of literature.
