Herrngarten 1960

Initially laid out as an agricultural kitchen garden, Herrngarten became a Baroque pleasure garden in the 17th century and an English-style landscape park under Landgravine Karoline in the 18th century. To the northeast is the Prince George Garden, a rococo-style garden where fruit and vegetables are grown among the flowers and shrubs.

Herrngarten is close to TU Darmstadt and in summer invites you to picnic, read, relax and meet friends on its expansive green park meadows.
