Villa Kräuter um 1910

More neoclassicism can be found on the opposite side of the road: the Sparkasse bank was built in 1912, also in an antique style with pillars and a triangular frontispiece pediment.

To its right, we see another mansion: the “Villa Kräuter”, erected in 1897. Marie Elise, the wife of owner Edwin Kräuter, was a born Blankenhorn.

When major constructions were carried out at the Sparkasse building in 2019, these two properties were conserved as significant evidence for Müllheim’s town history.
