Blankenhorn Vineyard um 1910
We go left at Klemmbach Bridge and enter Krafft Alley. It is dominated by the spacious estate of Blankenhorn Vineyard.
After the two brothers Nikolaus and Adolph Friedrich had married into the wealthy Krafft family – their wives Maria Barbara and Judith were sisters themselves -, they opened this vineyard and the associated wine store.
In 1843, Adolph Blankenhorn was born to Adolph Friedrich and Judith in the central building of this stately rich environment.
Another one of those grand fountains beautifies this courtyard, again with a single-rock basin. The property was managed as Blankenhorn Vineyard until 1940.
