Welcome ladies and gentlemen.

My name is Doctor Adolph Blankenhorn, I am the co-founder and first chairman of the German Winegrowing Association, and I am delighted to accompany you on a stroll around my hometown Müllheim.

Many of the buildings you will see on this circuit of approximately one and a half kilometres through the streets and alleys of Müllheim tell tales from the heydays of this town’s history in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. I am proud to add that the members of our distinguished, widely branched family have made their contribution to this history to an extent that cannot be overestimated.
